LH 350 vs. LX 330 or OS 767 NYC to ATH
I am curious about your opinion about traveling as a couple later this summer from NYC to Greece. All star alliance options I am considering I’d have to connect, and I was wondering what you would prefer if you had to choose between these three options.
Lufthansa in the a350, Swiss in a a330 (connecting in Zurich or Geneva) and Austrian in their 767. I guess the intra-europe service in Austrian is better, but maybe the new plane balances it out?
Anyway interested in hearing people’s opinion
Will you be traveling in a premium cabin or in economy?

Business … Sorry forgot to mention in original post.

Typically transferring with LH gives me anxiety just going through their hubs (FRA/MUC), because the place is so big. The pro of that though is you could get into their business lounge, if you have your Amex plat.
I haven’t tried Swiss yet, but I have passed through with OS and I kind of like the airport compared to LH’s business. I traveled both in J and really enjoyed OS’s hard/soft product! Although you’re east bound, you probably just want to pick a good seat/bed and a good lounge to shower.
Hope that helps!

Austrian will have the best catering of the three. I THINK I’d prefer OS’s staggered seats versus LH’s 2-2-2 where the feet angle toward each other (or did they change that on the A350?). Furthermore, OS’s 767s biz seats all have direct aisle access

Welcome
LH should definitively be your last option due to the seats.

Nothing has changed much with the LH and the A350, they still have footsie class in large portions of the cabin sadly.

While LH are not as bad as AF (and France in general) when it comes to strikes, they have probably earned a second place in Europe lately.
While OS has direct aisle access it’s on a B767 so the seats will be narrower than on the Swiss A330.
If traveling as a couple and taking the D/G seats sitting together there should not really be a difference when it comes to direct aisle access, would be different story for a single traveler of course.
Personally I would say that it comes down to what seats are available on the dates @Cs85 wants to travel.
