LAX Lounge Access
I’m flying to FIJI and FIJI Airways from LAX (economy). Fiji Airways appears to be partners with American and Alaska. I am both an AA and Alaska ff member, but do not hold any status nor am I a member of any lounges. I have AA, United, and Delta ccs. I have an 11 hour layover and would like to spend it in lounge. I cannot navigate which lounges, if any, I would have access to. I have recently received two one-time pass to United Club, but as FIJI Airways is not a partner not sure if this helps or if these passes on their own would garner lounge access during my layover.
I dont think any of your airline CCs are of any help in this situation either since Fiji isnt a member of any alliance. Do you hold any kind of elite status with any airline at all, or what other credit cards do you have? If you have the Amex Platinum card or the Citi Prestige card, you would have Priority Pass which would get you lounge access at LAX and in Nadi.
According to this website: https://www.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/airport/lounge/access.aspx you could use the UA lounge with the one time pass. However. Fiji departs from the TBIT whereas UA clubs are in T7, which are pretty far apart. Furthermore, I dont think T7 is connected to TBIT airside, meaning you would have to clear security to get into T7 to go to the lounge, then exit and reclear security to get into the TBIT. It’s seems like a huge hassle to me, especially since I dont think the UA club at LAX is anything to write home about but you do have 11 hours so it could be worth it for you.
