can you late check in at 3AM?

Most hotels, sure. Just be proactive and call the actual property ahead of time.

Yeah, call in advance so they don’t consider you a no show. Years ago I checked into a Westin in Toronto at 4am (which worked out great because we snuck in 4 other people to the room :D) and had no issue because I called ahead of time.

I sometimes do a really, really late check in which is actually a really, really early check in for the following day. I arrive on the east coast from a west coast red eye at around 5 to 6 am and get an early check in and a late check out, normally around 1 to 2 pm. Everything can be arranged as long as you call in advance and set it up. I make these arrangements almost always at airport hotels.

I frequently (at least once every other month or so) arrive at hotels well after midnight. When staying at Hilton properties nowadays, I don’t even bother to call anymore – I check in through the App, get a digital key…. modern travels. 🙂
