KE Changing 747-8i Routes

KE Changing 747-8i Routes

    OMAAT-ers,

    Just logged on to my KE account to select seats for a September flight ICN-SFO, and received a schedule change notification. Along with that schedule change is an equipment swap from the normal 747-8i on that route to a 777-300ER. On top of that, it seems ALL flights to SFO have been downgraded to a the 77W. Anyone know what’s going on? Kinda bummed because the Kosmo 1.0 suite is rarely basic and underwhelming compared to the 2.0. Still a great product but definitely disappointing to hear.

    Is this part of some general route updates? Is there some other way to experience the 2.0 suite without going TOO far out of the way en route SF?

    Yes, KE updated their equipment on the ICN-SFO & ICN-YVR routes.

    I think [I]some [/I]of their 77Ws have the new 2.0 but not sure if that’s what they’re using for SFO. If you really want it, change your flight to Vancouver and get a separate ticket from SFO to YVR.

    i *think* I’m going to fly her in June, YVR-ICN. I’m just not sure what I want to fly to get back to JFK.

    Asiana will have 350 by then. Speculation it comes to the states. Or KE 787. JL first. Or LH in first the wrong way. You were looking at that weren’t you? Did you ever?

    KE First, definitely.

    I’m not extremely excited by OZs business class but I’d consider it if it was an A350. I think I might go try and get JL First though. I’ve flown LH First before but I’d consider doing it again

    JL first for 70K (or 75K from ICN) is tough to beat. Plus they have a JFK flight now out of HND.
