Issue with CX PNR number – used AA miles to book

Issue with CX PNR number – used AA miles to book

    Hi Lucky,

Hope all is well with you. Long time follower and fan of your blog.

I have an issue and I’m a little stuck.
I booked a one way J award for my Father from HKG-AKL on CX using AA miles.
I have the CX PNR number, verified twice with AA agent.

The problem is, when I input the First Name, Last Name and the PNR number into the “Manage Booking” section of the CX website – the response is that the Booking Reference Number is invalid.
I was hoping to assign his seat – but now I’m concerned it did not ticket properly on the CX side.
I’ve never had this issue before, booked several CX tickets before using AA miles – have always been able to look up the res on CX side.

I double checked with AA that everything is confirmed (and double checked the CX PNR number).
I tried calling CX in US number – too busy – hangs up on you!
I called CX in HK number – can’t get to a live agent.
There doesn’t appear to be an email address I can send an inquiry.

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance and Best regards,
    Max

Add the middle name smushed with the first name, see if that works.

Otherwise, try looking it up with the ticket number, or you’ll just have to try calling Hong Kong again.

Try finding your resv using Qatar Airways’s website using CX’s PNR. If the itinerary comes up there, the resv should be okay and you can call CX HK to select seats

Stick with calling CX, they gave the CX conf code right away and I was all set, AA code will not work
