Is WOW airlines about to declare bankruptcy?

Is WOW airlines about to declare bankruptcy?

  1. Anonymous

I’m in Montreal and have a flight booked to London in the next two weeks yet I persistently hear that they may declare bankruptcy any day now (I write this in mid-Feb. 2019)

I know they have had many set-backs in recent months and they have cut back on staff and routes in recent months. Can someone please give some solid information so that I don’t find myself stranded?

They are still selling flight on outlets like Flighthub on the Montreal-London route until the end of March and then it mysteriously drops off.
I know the Indigo Partners Group gave them a $75 million bail-out or there was talk of it in January. is that still on or did it fall through?

There’s an Icelandic article on Turisti about it, the most recent one that I can find.
Basically WOW is asking for an extension to pay it’s various airport fees. The initial deadline was the end of Feb. (and I fly out on March 1st!)
