My school charges 2.5% fee on credit cards. Is it worth it to use credit cards? I mainly use the points on international business class travel.

Really depends on how you value points. SPG points are great but most people value them at 2.2c or so. With that valuation you’re not getting a good deal on them although it would be very easy. If you have an immediate high value use for them go for it otherwise might be worth it to investigate MS.

[USER=4]@Lucky[/USER] values starpoints at 2.2 cents/point. Also, with the Marriott merger, points will probably be devalued/be transferred at a bad rate so I wouldn’t buy

Its worth it if you are almost at a 20000 point increment so when you transfer to an airline you’d get the 5k bonus. otherwise, I’d avoid paying the fee.
