Is 4th Night Free really worth it?

Is 4th Night Free really worth it?

I know that Lucky says that his favorite thing about the CITI Prestige card is the 4th night free for hotels, but the only way to get the award is to call their concierge line. So far I’ve been on the phone over 30 minutes to book a hotel that I could have booked in 3 minutes on-line. Is this typical?

very typical. it’s a drag, but the benefit makes it well worth it. i’ve found that their concierge service for dining is also pretty painful. They’re hit or miss. I’ve had them grab some helpful reservations and times where I never heard back.

I think it depends on the time you call — sometimes I get through in 90 seconds in the mornings, other times the wait can be lengthy.

Agree with Tiffany, only used it twice so far but only very short hold times. Currently at Four Seasons Hong Kong – 4th night free on top of 3rd free night FS promotion, get 4 pay for 2 Harbor View. THEN upgraded to suite at check-in!

Calling early or late seems to be helpful in getting through right away. However, even if I spend 30 minutes, painful as it is, if you save $200, you are earning $400/hour. Not a bad return on your time.
