Need to get about 20k points to get to the next IHG reward level and searching for ways to earn the points. Does transferring points from a Chase account count? How about purchasing the points from IHG? Does the bonus points that you can buy with a stay count?

Need to add some Elite Qualifing points to my IHG account. Does moving points from a Chase account count as elite? If you purchase points from IHG account are they elite? How about the 1,000 bonus points you can buy with a night’s stay?

Hi! Hopefully someone more familiar with IHG will chime in, but I don’t believe any of those methods would trigger elite-qualifying activity.
