Hyatt Status

Hyatt Status

I had Hyatt Diamond Status in 2016. However, I only made enough stays to re-qualify for Platinum status for 2017. I will make my 50th night of the year on 2/28/2017. Will this make me I diamond through 3/2019 as this is before the new program officially takes in effect or will I need 10 additional nights? Will I get 4 suite diamond upgrades that are good for a year or will they be subject to the new 120 day expiration under the new program?

Do you mean you’ll make your 50th night of 2017 on 2/28? If yes, from reports I’ve read it will post with a date of 3/1 which would put you into World of Hyatt qualification criteria. People have had success getting Hyatt to backdate their nights in the past but given the program changeover I’m not sure how flexible they will be. If you have a free night between now and then I’d try to mattress run one night so your 50th night is done by 2/27. To your general question, yes, once you hit the criteria you will be all set with Globalist until 2019.
