Hyatt Didn’t Deduct Points or Certificates

Hyatt Didn’t Deduct Points or Certificates

  1. Anonymous Guest

A week ago, I used points for a two night stay, and also used two certificates for a two night stay at a Cat 7 Hyatt. As of this morning the certificates and points are still in my account. Will Hyatt eventually deduct these? I thought it was odd they were not deducted at time of reservation, and am now really curious about why the points are still in my account a week after my stay.

A week ago I used points and two Hyatt CC certificates for a 4 night stay. When I made the reservation the points and the certificates were not removed from my account. Now a week after the stay there is no deduction for the stays. Will Hyatt eventually deduct the points and remove the two stay certificates? This is a bit odd to me, as with previous award reservations the points/certificates were deducted immediately.

    They should but who knows…

If they don’t take them in a couple of weeks, I might let them know once. After that and a few months have passed, just use them. What you don’t want is to have travel booked and Hyatt suddenly pulling the instruments/miles from your account and canceling reservations.
