How to travel cheaper on a tight budget?

    Hi Lucky and everyone,

I am teaching online and travelling and am about to start a travel blog of my own. I don’t have any fixed destinations (right now I’m in Bali, have no idea where I’ll go next), but would like to travel smarter. I own no credit cards yet and have never collected miles or points before. I want to though. What is the best credit card for me to get and what schemes should I look into? I am happy to travel economy, just to get from point A to B but want the cheapest possible prices.

Welcome @Zainab – do you have access to US credit cards? If not, then unfortunately your choices are much more limited. That’s the first big hurdle.

I’d read the Beginner’s Guide under the Start Here tab at the top of the page to get a good background on how to start the miles & points game. Once you’ve done that, come back here and you can post specific questions.

    Good luck!
