How to shop business class tickets to Rome

How to shop business class tickets to Rome

  1. PATTY HUSK New Member

    Hello.

I have traveled a lot, but I admit I am not very savvy at securing the best deals for our flights. We want to travel from Boise, ID, to Rome in the month of September. Business class is a must (done with being pretzeled in coach!). We are flexible on dates but I cannot seem to do a business-class search for an entire month of rates. Skyskanner has coach fare comparisons but I am just getting lost and confused. I really want to do this right this time. I have 1,400,000+ points on our Cap One Venture card to use. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Welcome.

ITA Matrix is very power full tool for searching for flights, but it’s not a booking site and can be hard to use.

For travel in September with 1 week stay in Rome I’m seeing a starting price of just under $4K, is this what you are seeing also?

Using Google flights for searching might be easier for you.

I assume you know that Capital One Venture is really a cash back card and that 1 points is really just 1 cent worth of travel? So your 1.4 million points are really just $14000 worth of flights?

While it may not be all that bad a cashback card if you are an small spender.

It’s not a good card when putting as much spend on it as you seems to have done.

google flights is just basically a stripped down version of Google/s ITA Matrix isn’t it?

Think it uses the underlying search engine, but the user interface for first time users is much easier and it also offers links to booking for a number of airlines.
