How to redeem miles for partner airlines?

How to redeem miles for partner airlines?

  1. Sheel Vora New Member

Hello, I really liked your Youtube videos and the information you are sharing is great. I had a question. Can we redeem miles from an American airline (Example: United) on a non-American travel route? (Example: Zurich to Mumbai) If yes, how to do so?

    Thank you very much

Welcome @Sheel Vora – you sure can! The trick is that the airline you’re flying needs to be a partner of United. United is in the Star Alliance so any of the Star Alliance airlines may choose to make award space available for their partners.

One example is Turkish Airlines. Use the United website to look for award flights ZRH-BOM and if Turkish has made any award space available to their partners you should be able to see and book it there. Other airlines in the Star Alliance include Lufthansa and SWISS so you may see flights offered from those airlines too along with the price. I picked a random Tuesday in October and saw economy awards on Lufthansa and economy and business class awards on Turkish.

If you still have questions, feel free to ask!
