How much to Upgrade at Check-in?

How much to Upgrade at Check-in?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello Friends,
I shall be travelling from JFK to DEL on Etihad. I have booked Business class for myself and I am hoping to get an upgrade (paid) on the A380 to Abu Dhabi at the Check in desk. However, I am not sure if there would be any availability. From experience, would anyone have a rough idea as to how much a paid upgrade from Business to first class would cost?
    Thank you,

Everjoy, I think EY will often send an email with an online bidding tool to buy an upgrade. If you search FlyerTalk, they also have a thread devoted to tracking successful upgrade bids. Good luck!

I was looking on flyer talk and for bidding it seems the minimum bid for that route is $1,000 so I’m guessing at check-in looking at similar routes it would be 1-1.5 k somewhere around there. I can’t be positive though. Good luck!
