I was able to book Fiance and myself (using Milesaver awards) CLT to ATH!! Problem is the outbound causes me to go MIA–LHR–ATH and her to JFK–LHR–ATH. AA Agent said I can change if something opens up (it’s first class booking) down the line. When should I start looking? Is the Agents statement true?
Travel starts 7SEP2015. -

@ Chris D — Airlines do often open more award space as the departure date approaches, so I’d monitor starting almost immediately, as that space could open at any point. It’s most likely to open within a week or two of departure, though. Good luck!
