How far before my trip can I apply for my Vietnam e-visa?

How far before my trip can I apply for my Vietnam e-visa?

  1. Anonymous Guest

Your post on the process of getting an e-visa for Vietnam was very helpful. Thanks for that! I just have one follow-up question: how far in advance of my intended arrival date can I apply for the Vietnam e-visa? I understand that the e-visa (if approved) will be valid for 30 days, starting on the day I actually arrive, but how early can I apply for this? For example, can I apply now (i.e., November) for a trip I will be making in March? I ask because I will be visiting a number of other countries before getting to Vietnam and would like to get this taken care of before I start traveling. But I am worried they will not let me apply five months early. Thanks in advance for your help with this, and keep up the great work!

I’d check a few visa processing services’ websites to see if they indicate put the request in early would be an issue. I check Allied Passport’s site and there’s no mention of that but they do indicate visas will be processed in order by travel date – so if you put yours in 5 months early it may be awhile before you get your passport back. If you don’t find a satisfactory answer on the web you might call a service or two to see what they say.

Given how inexpensive it is, I’d just apply for it and see what happens..

Please TRIPLE CHECK all your info. I screwed up my DOB when I applied, didnt notice, and got stopped at immigration at SGN.
