Worth using Marriott points at 35k per night when the cost per night is only $108 including taxes. Need to stay 10 nights.

Hey Jake, it’s not the best value of points based on the math and standard valuation of Marriott points. That’s a pretty solid cash rate, inclusive of taxes. If you have millions of Marriott points, probably worth burning some points.

Welcome @Jake Traveler – each month Ben updates his valuation for the various points, miles and transferable currencies. You can see those values under the tab ‘Guide to Miles & Points’ at the top of the page and then selecting ‘Value of Miles & Points’ from the drop-down.

Right now he values Marriott points at .7 cents each, so 35K points per night is a value of about $245.

Like @rickyw says, it’s not a great use of points but if you’re sitting on a stash of them it’s a way to save a few dollars.
