Why does Hilton only award 1/2 the points for Home 2 Suites as they do for other properties? The rooms are comparably priced to Hilton Garden Inn an

It’s not unusual for lower market properties to have lower earning rates although I’ve never quite understood why that is necessary with revenue based earning. Maybe a reflection of lower margins overall?

I can understand that from the hotels standpoint but as a consumer, I’m spending the same amount of money and getting the same value (a room for the night) as I would at a similarly priced property.
I would like to get to someone in the Hilton world to pose this question.
