HKG to nyc

need some advice. Need to book two one way tickets HKG to NYC. I have around 125k Chase points in one account and 110k in another.

What do you think is the best? I found premium Econ seats using 70k ba points. This seat retails for 2k usd. Is they good value?

Well BA passes on fuel surcharges. How much are they?

I’d much rather transfer Chase UR to UA or KE.

UA doesn’t charge fuel surcharges and Star Alliance carriers are mostly very good, even if it means a connection. Furthermore if you happen to find award space on UA HKG-EWR, it requires less miles since it’s on UA metal and its nonstop.

KE awards are pretty decently priced if it’s not during their peak times and their taxes are pretty reasonable. Their F is pretty great or if you book J, some of their A380 and 747-8i both feature the apex suite, which is very private if you pick a window seat.
