Hilton Trip Points Promotion stackable with Citi Prestige booking?
Hi, I recently used Citi Prestige to book a 4 night stay at Hilton Tokyo. The booking is confirmed and today, I received an email from Hilton with a promotion for triple points on my next stay. The link is below.

The terms and conditions say:
Please note this offer is only valid for recipients of the email invitation, is not transferable, and is one-time use only. Valid for stays between January 11, 2017 and January 31, 2018. Must book Plan Code “ZZHPB3” or “Z3B”, online only.
I note that when Prestige concierged booked my reservation, there was a “Travel Agent Number”. I want to make sure that the trip points book code will not cancel out the Prestige benefits. Also, logistically, how would one go about adding this triple points code to an existing reservation?
Kindly appreciated!
I don’t think you can use both on your stay.
It sounds like the Hilton promotion requires you to book online, while to get the Prestige 4th night free benefit you must book through their agent and it must be a publicly available rate. The promo code you’re using is specific to you.
So if I’m reading this correctly you’ll have to choose between triple points and a free night. Considering you can double dip with Hilton anyway (points + airline or even points + points) and you’ll earn points for the 4th night it would seem to me the obvious choice is to go with the Prestige benefits.

Thanks, that’s my feeling as well. Unless I am absolutely certain, I don’t want to do anything to jeopardize the 4th night cash back. Tokyo is expensive >.< Can you explain what the double dip with Hilton is? Sounds intriguing....
When you sign up for Hilton HHonors you earn points for your stay. They also allow you to select an airline where you credit an equal number of points. Or, instead of another airline you can ask for double points.
So if your stay earns 500 HH points and you select Delta as your airline partner you also get 500 Delta miles. Or you could have your account set to points + points and earn 1000 HH points instead.
And you can change these between stays, earning 2x points for one stay and points + miles for another stay. Just go to your profile to change.
