Hello
I’m looking for advice on how to start flying around for not a lot of money like this. I have limited funds (about a tenner in my bank account last time I checked), am 14, have a shitty airport near to me (B’Ham) and just want to see the world. I have a little bit of experience with flying alone, having flown to Munich from Birmingham with a connection in Copenhagen this summer, going direct to Munich last year. There’s just some rush that I can’t describe when I fly, so I want to enjoy it as much as I can without paying so much to giant corporations.
Thanks.
Aidan
I’m new to the idea of flying around on points. My experience with points is looking on the Lufthansa website at a deal that would cost more than not using points and include a connection in Frankfurt (BHX – MUC). I want to get as many points as possible to help fund my gap year (I’m 14) before uni. I don’t have much money at my disposal (£10 last time I checked my bank account) and can’t travel inside of school time (fines apply in the UK). My parents are fine with the idea of me flying alone as I’ve done it before to visit family in Germany, having flown from Birmingham to Munich return twice (once with a connection in Copenhagen), and they’d love it if I could fly cheaper than at the moment, even more if they could join me without spending £500. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Aidan
Should probably add that my local airport is BHX and getting there is no great faff.
