Heathrow layover after Dec 2nd

Heathrow layover after Dec 2nd

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky,

Any info on whether a landside Heathrow layover (at any outer ring hotel) under 24 hrs is allowed after the current lockdown is over on Dec. 2nd? I would ofcourse be providing my hotel information so the UK authorities know where I am. I obviously cant do the 2 week quarantine. I plan to travel from ORD to Heathrow, stay the night and then board the next day on Qatar or Emirates for my onward journey on a separate ticket. I will have my negative covid test result in hand for the UK. Does British Airways require the test 96 or 72 hrs prior to the flight from the US? BA has been giving mixed responses.

    Any info would help.

    Thanks,

    UB

No real news yet. As of right now, you enter the UK, you isolate for 14 days (unless you are leaving the country, in which case you isolate until you leave. But forget tourism while you are isolating.) There is rumor of a 5 day isolation coming with a test at the end of it starting approximately 15 December. Right now, however, its still 14 days.
