Hawaii basic info
Hi Guys,
I’m thinking about a trip to Hawaii but know nothing about what Island(s) to stay on and what hotels are worthwhile. I’m on the East Coast and don’t really care if the tickets are first class.
Is there a link or two that talks about everything you need to know about Hawaii?
Hi @Aaron Horn … living in SF, I’ve been to Hawaii many times. Without looking at it, I bet the WikiTravel pages will be a good resource for general information on the islands.
Which island is best to visit for you will depend on circumstances. Going by yourself to relax? With your S.O. for a romantic trip? Want to party with friends? Talk about what you’re looking for and I can provide recommendations.
I did a Google search on “what to do on different Hawaiian islands” and it came back with a whole slew of links, some are from travel guide sites, some from Hawaii Tourism sites.
If you want to use miles for your flight, I’d check out @Tiffany’s post from last year. Lots of great info here: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2015/10/06/redeeming-miles-to-hawaii-can-be-tough/
Me and a wife. Probably bringing along two kids- a preschooler and a toddler. Thanks for the advice!
@Aaron Horn, I would follow @MidSouth Skier’s advice and start with some simple google searches. The Hawaiian islands offer a diverse variety of experiences from the natural to historical. Figure out what meshes well with your interests with some research and then feel free to bounce ideas here!
