Guam
Lucky,
Quirky question. Have you noticed the somewhat regular operations between Los Angeles and Guam and SFO and Guam? United has been flying 777-300s and 787s almost everyday, sometimes 2 flights/day.
Any idea what is up?
Cargo flights perhaps?
United has always flown a lot of their older 777 from SFO to HNL, HNL to GUM. With the US Pacific Fleet relocating from Okinawa to Guam, over the last couple years, the frequency may have increased. I know Guam has been doing a lot of infrastructure building in preparation, so possibly a mix of military (families), as well as contractors.
But in actuality, it is probably cargo.
