Gonna Just Miss Alaska MVP Gold Status For First Time
I’ve been a frequent Alaska Airlines traveler for many years and have been MVP Gold for as long as I can remember. Due to unforeseen multiple illnesses this year (and resulting trip cancellations), I’m going to be a few thousand miles short of the 40k mile requirement for Gold status. Does anyone have any experience asking Alaska to grant ongoing Gold status in situations like this, especially given my loyalty and extenuating circumstances of my coming up short?

Last year I was little shy of achieving MVP Gold by ~ few thousand miles, Alaska Air granted me MVP Gold as a goodwill gesture. Give a call to Alaska and explain your situation.
