Gold medallion delta

Gold medallion delta

    Hello everyone,

I am about 6800 MQM and about 1350 MQD away from gold medallion. I do not know how many more business trips i will have now till January end. What is the best and some what cheapest way to get gold. I am based in south Florida. I am thinking I can use my venture points. I have about 95k points. Possibly take a MIA > Seattle trip or LA and I will be closer. Do you have any other ideas?

    Thank you!

@Anirudh Rallabhandi You could just get a Delta Reserve card that provides 10,000 MQM with the first purchase I think. If you don’t have a DL card and can hit 25k in spending by the end of the year it will also help you waive the MQD requriement.

Have you looked into manufactured spending techniques? (See the forum area of the Boarding Area blog Travel Codex) $25K in a month can be easily achieved for under $250 net cost, which is likely cheaper – though a bit more work – than a mileage run. On the other hand, a long weekend on the west coast might be fun.

@Anirudh Rallabhandi I just finished putting 17k on a card in 6 days so you have plenty of time to meet the 25k target if you’re willing to do a little bit of reading. In addition to Travel Codex I would check out Frequent Miler’s series on Serve/Redbird/Bluebird, do the math and decide which path to Gold makes the most sense for you.
