Globalist Mattress Run

Globalist Mattress Run

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky,

Considering a mattress run to take advantage of the reduced qualification for Globalist status.

I am based in Denver, and want to do this as cost (point) effectively as possible, so am looking to book a 13 night stay (+ my 5 nights for WH CC) at the Colorado Springs Hyatt House at this is the only Category 1 property in CO. A few questions:

Any issue with a Hyatt House stay for the double night bonus?

The stay is credited based on checkout date, correct? So if my stay started in December, but checkout was in January, the whole stay would qualify for 2x nights?

To my understanding, I simply have to drive down to check-in, get a key card, and access the room….my plan is not to stay at all, but return home in Denver. Do I have to go back to check out? Anything else I’m missing here to make sure this qualifies?
Any and all help here to make sure I’m on the right track would be great. Trying to do a mattress run without any actual nights in the room, ha.

    1. No issue with a Hyatt House 2. the check-out date in January would qualify for 2X elite night credits in 2021 3. It’s best to discuss your plans with the hotel directly so they don’t check you out from a room that appears unoccupied and charge you but not give you the elite night credits. Ask the hotel directly if you need to go back to check out–that part is probably not necessary as online check-out is fairly standard operating procedure. (I am doing the same thing and my Hyatt House has no problem with this.)
