Flight Delay Compensation

Flight Delay Compensation

  1. Tar_00 Member

Hi – I was schedule to depart from CGK via KUL to BOM on Malaysia Airlines. Upon leaving CGK, the flight got delayed due to air traffic congestion and due to that I missed my connecting flight to BOM. The airline did provide me with a hotel room and food vouchers but I have no toiletries, changes of clothes, etc. Can I file a claim for compensation? What are my passenger rights?

    Thank you!!

I would take a look at Malaysia’s terms of service and see what they offer. In cases such as these Airlines will often help with reasonable costs but could argue that the hotel would have provided toiletries for a night etc. You’d have to consider what was reasonable and provide receipts for reimbursement. You could also check the credit card you used to see if you have any trip delay coverage.
