Flat bed 2-2 on Shenzhen Airlines 737-900

Flat bed 2-2 on Shenzhen Airlines 737-900

Before I knew ZH 738 has pretty generous legroom in F but I just realized that their 739 could be one of the first narrowbody flat bed.

ZH got their first 737-900 on 2005-6-10. They had total of 5 739.

They reduced the number of seats from 189Y to 8F+159Y. Seat pitch is 76 inch. The seats were supplied by an Italian manufacturer. The length of the bed is 190 cm and the width is 70 cm. Initially they put this flagship configuration on SZX-PEK. Now they also send them to smaller cities.

In 2014, ZH installed new first class seats on 738 and A320. Seats were supplied by Recaro with 155 degrees of recline. The seats are equipped with leg rest and massage function. They finished the fleet refurbishment of 24 A320 and 49 738 on 2018-9-12.

So in conclusion 739 are 180 degrees, refurbished 738 and A320 (called 73F and 32F on their website) are 155 degrees, and the rest 738 and A320 are 135 degrees.

BTW Juneyao Airlines is flying to Helsinki with their 787. You could try to review that flight. From what I heard, their crews are still adapting their service routine such as welcome drink to widebody so there is still room for refinement. IMO they are the better ones in mainland China and they would improve their service.
