I am an EXP on AA and I am flying to Panama (PTY) in Feb. for a nice mileage run thanks to Lucky’s post of how cheap it was for a biz class ticket. Anyways, I was wondering if I will be able to access the flagship lounge in LA and JFK during my flight out there.

I leave Friday 6am from LA to JFK then JFK to MIA (overnight layover in MIA, not intended) and onto PTY from MIA the next morning on Saturday. I am a bit confused since I have read that you have to be traveling internationally same day to have access but I am on the same itinerary for the flight out just have a long (overnight) layover. I spoke to the EXP desk and have got two different responses , one told me yes, the other no (although it seemed like she did not seemed well informed)….Will I have be able to access the Flagship Lounge’s @ LAX & JFK? Or will that be an issue? Thanks in advance for all the help!!

“An American Airlines AAdvantage® Executive Platinum customer departing on or connecting to an international* flight, operated and marketed by a [B]one[/B]world®airline, regardless of cabin flown” is eligible for access. It does not specify same day restrict like a couple of other categories. Hopefully it won’t be an issue.
