    Hello,

AMEX is showing a rate for FinnAIR Business @2,550 RT JFK/BKK

    If I pay with (plat) points I receive 35% rebate = 165,000 points (which I have) . . .

seems cheap & easy? no conversion needed & I’ll receive miles

I’m AA Plat Pro . . . should I use my AA # or go with Finn PLUS @ 200% miles

    Thank you,

    Wayne

Is there any reason why you wouldn’t pay for this with the platinum card and earn 5x points but use the points at a low value instead?

Also, you should credit to AA if aiming to retain your status for next year and I don’t believe the Finn Plus program is better redemption wise than AA nor is it easy to earn more points because there aren’t any Credit Card transfer partners.

Hi DJ & thank you for the reply.

i’m tempted to use AX points because my pile of points now sits @ 1.5 million & also the 35% point rebate for biz/1st for Biz Plat cards . . . but the cash price is already so low that it’s a tough call.

the $2,550’s an “amex insider fare”, so i’ll use AX website either way (normal price = $3,100)

thanks for the advice re AA Plat Pro, I’ll stay with AA for your reason & also the sake of simplicity
