It appears that Etihad Airways has changed the Eligibility for the Chauffeur Service for AA redemption bookings in First and Business class , such bookings seem to now not be eligible for this service. Do you have any information about this?

Hmmmm. Has your reservation ticketed yet? If not, the option won’t show up yet.

Also, is the overall routing exclusively for travel on Etihad?

The routing is exclusively for travel on Etihad , and yes the bookings are fully ticketed

Call Etihad and ask for Chauffeur booking. I had a reservation that is confirmed 6 weeks ago and travelling last week of October. They did not give me any issues.

I called them today. They said that as of August 10 , AA award bookings are not eligible for Chauffeur drive, even though my bookings were originally made earlier this year, I made a change to these bookings and they were re ticketed on August 11, so I don’t get this service. Just my luck, missing out by 1 day !

How do you even access your AA award booking on EY website? It doesn’t accept my PNR that i have on the AA website…

You need to call AA and ask for the EY PNR. That will get you into their website. I’ve had trouble selecting seats and booking chauffeur on AA tickets though. I called Etihad’s US office to get it done – wait times were relatively short.
