Hi all,

I am looking to make the following Business Class booking with Etihad: LHR-AUH. AUH-LHR-MAN. LHR-MAN will be with BA.

In an ideal world I would like to use the Etihad chauffeur car in Manchester. The Etihad agent said that isn’t possible due to the BA flight. I can sort of see their point but what are the chances of me being able to negotiate that with a senior agent? As Etihad operate out of MAN I don’t think this is the worst idea?

I doubt you’d be successful in getting an agent to book the chauffeur for you. Why not just fly direct to MAN?

Also, is this a paid flight or an award flight? If it’s an award flight booked via AA miles, tickets issued after [URL=’http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/08/12/etihad-chauffeur-american-award/’]August 10th, 2016 are no longer eligible for chauffeur service at all.[/URL] This also includes tickets that were booked before Aug 10th but were re-issued after Aug 10th.

Partly so I can fly the LHR A380 and upgrade one of the sections to First Class Apartment which they don’t operate out of MAN. Also because the AUH-MAN flight times are horrible.

I would be paying for Business and then upgrading with Amex/Guest miles

Not gonna happen, I don’t think. Etihad only provides car service when connecting to/from their flights, and only at the origin and destination points.

There’s no harm in asking I suppose but as others have correctly advised, your chances are very low. EY has never had any flexibility around their chauffeur rules with me.
