Etihad Business Class on 777
Does any body have recent experience flying Etihad in business class from Chicago (ORD) or Los Angeles (LAX) to Abu Dhabi on their 777 airplane. How is the lounge at ORD and LAX airports.
Can’t speak for LAX, but the lounge in Chicago is kind of laughable. They partner with the Air France-KLM lounge. Lots of folks have access to this, including Priority Pass. Best way to sum it up, is there isn’t even a bathroom inside the club, you walk out of the lounge and into the terminal.
I flew Etihad out of Chicago a couple years ago, and the lead flight attendant actually commented to me that the airline recognizes they can’t try to woo premium passengers on the route until they address the lounge situation at O’Hare.
I believe the hard product should be the same as this review http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/06/21/review-etihad-business-class-a340/
They have their own lounge in LA now: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/07/25/etihad-lounge-lax/

In ORD they use the AF KLM lounge which I’ve been too a few times when I fly Aer Lingus, (Aer Lingus used to use it before being bought by IAG), the lounge is okay… good snack food options, but no bar / hot food options, Etihad has their own lounge out of LAX
I flew from ORD-AUH in business class on Etihad a couple of years ago. All the seats have aisle access. Seats and service are great. I would chose a true window seat by calling Etihad. At that time, they also offered chauffeur service which was amazing.
