Hi,

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My wife and I have over 500k AA miles and would like to fly to MLE this Aug Via JFK -AUH on the A380. I have been searching since January with no luck and really getting frustrated at this point. Any suggestions on the best way to book this award in first or business class.

Do you have to do it in both directions? It seems to me that there is some limited availability auh-jfk if you look hard enough. I am always reading how very few seats there are ex-US on the A380.

Perhaps you can consider finding Qatar awards JFK-doh on the new A350 and return on etihad…

I see some dates for two in business on the A380 on the return auh-jfk. You could always fly out of IAD on Etihad in first on the B787 which is also a new product though perhaps not as innovative as the First Apartments…

You could also check if Qatar has any awards JFK-doh especially if on their new A350

JFK-AUH availability is hard to come by so I would consider Cal’s suggestion to try an alternate route. [USER=7]@Tiffany[/USER] has also suggested in the past to try searching round trip instead of one way as it unearths more space.

If you already have specific travel dates, I would book whatever is available now, whether it’s business class, on another airline or out of a different airport. Keep monitoring the space and change if space opens up. In certain situations it may require a fee but could be worth if you get in the Apartment.

Are you set on going to MLE? AUH flies the apartment to LHR/BOM/MEL/SYD as well.

I might just be better off having an expert book this award…

I believe I saw 8/23 and 8/24, but that was as of last night…
