    Hey One Mile at a Time Team!

    We had taken advantage of the Ethiopian Airlines “mistake” business fare from BKK to YYZ about 10 days ago and we received the confirmation email a few days later that it was ticketed and charged to the credit card. We just received another email with this message:

    “Dear Valued Customer,
    Upon careful assessment, we have determined your ticket was done with wrong fare calculation. Ethiopian regrets the error and will offer you the following options:
    1. Refund full amount in the same form of payment and currency
    2. Make use of the ticket in economy class in the same itinerary by waiving additional charges.
    3. Utilize the value of the ticket as a payment to purchase a ticket on any Ethiopian route with the applicable additional charges if any,
    Please let us know your preference and your ticket will be sent to you on a separate email. If you wish to cancel this ticket, kindly advise us and we will promptly cancel your reservation and process full refund.”

    Our preference would be to have them honor the original business class booking for a variety of reasons. ..can you offer us any advise on what options we would have to try and have them honor the original ticket?

    My hunch is you are out of luck. They should have to reimburse you for any out of pocket expenses you already made, if you did any. But, that’s about the only good news
