Emirates miles expiring

Emirates miles expiring

Hi Lucky,
I have been following you from some time now and I really enjoyed reading your blog. Here is my question, I have 69,600 Emirates miles which is going to expire at the end of this month and I’m not sure how to use it since I’m new to this hobby. Could you please advice me how to use it? I hate to lose them so would like to use on couch flight to anywhere.
Really appreciate your help!
Sid

@Sid: I’m not familiar with skywards but have you looked at earning options for Emirates? Is there a shopping or partner option that you can use to earn miles and extend the life of your current miles? If that doesn’t work then the usual options are to check if you can use the miles on Emirates or their partners (check award charts to see where you can go), redeem for non flight options like merchandise (usually a poor value but if you’re going to lose them…) or donate them through skywards. Good luck.
