Hello! Two friends and I booked tickets for April 2021 from LAX-HND on Delta recently, and we just got notification the other day of an aircraft swap to an A350. We purchased Comfort + seats on our previous aircraft, but the A350 only has Main Cabin, Premium Select and Delta One. What are the odds that I can get them to swap us to Premium Select since Main Cabin is a downgrade? I sent Delta at DM on Twitter since “Message Us” on the app told me to call, but when I’ve called, I just get disconnected after a message tells me that “no one is available to help.”

Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Not sure about the Comfort situation. I would think they will make you pay the difference to go to PS. However, def. worth a call and discussion.

Your 777 was changed due to them retiring all of them at the end of the year. Glad to hear they changed it to an A350. I’m on the same Lax-Hnd flight in mid December and wondering if they change the plane or maybe it wont actually happen until Jan 1st. I was worried they may got to a 767 so its nice to see yours got switched to the 350. Hope you are successful in getting into PS

I’m not sure how Delta markets Comfort + vs Premium Select from a fare bucket standpoint. My assumption is Comfort + is just some sort of add-on to a regular economy fare, which is why you were placed back in Main Cabin when the plane swapped.

My best guess is Delta will just refund you what you paid to get Comfort + (or work with you to apply what you paid towards an actual upgrade to Premium Select).

But, especially now, it never hurts to ask. I’d keep trying to call, that seems odd that you couldn’t get through
