Delta to AA transfer offer

Delta to AA transfer offer

  1. Kristi New Member

I am in need of 82 AA miles to book an award trip. I am trying to book this ASAP as it is coming up next month. I do not want to have to pay the $30 processing fee on top of 1000 mile charge so I have an offer:

I have 6,942 Delta SkyMiles I am willing to give someone to transfer I’m assuming the minimum 1,000 miles to my AA account.

Or any advice to get 100 AA miles instantly?

Buy something via the AA shopping mall? It’s not instant but it should be just a very few days.

I bought something last night through the AA mall. Will it truly be only a few days? I have the flight on hold until the 23rd but I cannot go much further than that day without paying the award fee for less than 20 days.

@Kristi–safe to assume you don’t have any hotel points you can transfer?

Unfortunately not, I’ve been trying to get into one program to accumulate. (Had US Airways which is now AA but I’m not happy with them at all. :-/)

Miles for purchases can post quickly but they can also take a while sometimes so I wouldn’t count on it if you need to ticket an award. It seems like buying 1000 miles will cost $61.71 which is high but transferring your DL miles will cost $90 for 6k miles plus $27.50 for someone to transfer 1000 AA miles back to you. You might be best off just buying unfortunately.

Thanks! I was doing some calculations and realized this. I do not fly Delta often so I will probably just donate those miles.

Delta miles don’t expire, so there’s no harm in holding on them.
