Delta MQMs only for YOUR flights?

Delta MQMs only for YOUR flights?

Sorry in advance for the dumb question, but I’m just learning about airline elite status since I’ve never had it. Next year my family is putting me in charge of booking a trip to China, and for our positioning flights I was thinking of using Delta. Are MQMs ONLY awarded for MY ticket price, or do I get more MQMs when booking several family members in my reservation? Is it the same for qualifying segments? If that’s the case, I was thinking it would be easier to get elite status next year…

I also can’t find anything about the “how” of crediting miles to a partner airline. If I fly Delta and want to “credit” the miles to a partner airline, how do I do that during the booking process? Thanks

It’s the same for all of the options (segments, MQMs etc). You only earn on your ticket, not for anyone else. They can set up their own accounts to earn.

If you want to credit to a partner airline you would add your FF number for the partner airline to your reservation at any point before you take the flight.
