Definition of Stay

Hello Lucky,

I am a Marriott Platinum and I registered for the following promotion :

The problem is now I booked my 3-night consecutive stay as 3 separate booking numbers. I always do this because it’s easier if I want to cancel one of the days, I can do that easily without having to change the other 2 booking numbers. Now Marriott is telling me I am not eligible for the 1,500 points below because I have 3 separate booking/reservation numbers although it clearly says a stay is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity on any points-eligible rate. I feel like the staff is not well trained to understand this and I have been spending so much time trying to get or should I say “beg” for points that I deserve! Do you know how I can handle this situation?

*A “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity on any points-eligible rate (“Qualifying Rate”).

Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy™ account is required. Marriott Bonvoy members who register for this promotion by September 2, 2019, will earn 1,500 bonus points per stay on stays of two or more nights, starting with their first stay, during the promotion earning period. The promotion earning period is for stays between July 2, 2019, and September 16, 2019, at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties. A “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity on any points-eligible rate (“Qualifying Rate”).

Thank you.

Best regards,
Seansy

Hi Seansy, I feel your frustration but I’m not sure 1,500 Bonvoy points is worth the fight!

Are you chatting with the hotel directly or Bonvoy customer service?
