CX F

Anyone have any experience with this whole Row 2 A/K being reserved for those with a baby who need a Bassinet. On the web site I an unable to reserve 2A. However, upon calling in it would have been no problem to switch to 2A but if someone books in F and needs a bassinet then I might be bumped.

I stayed with 1A b/c the slight advantage of 2A over 1A with being a drop further from the galley and having no passenger walk by you instead of just 1 passenger isnt worth the chance of being bumped to say a D seat. I want to be on the A side with only 1 other passenger. Agent was super nice and was going to move me but if i get bumped i very likely wont get 1A back b/c the next person to reserve F on that flight will take 1A, you would think at least.

Didnt realize you can be bumped for a baby.

Perhaps just wait until the day of departure to request a switch. Of course, now that you’ve already booked 1A, there’s little downside for someone else to request 2A as they’ll either keep the seat or get moved back to the other side anyway. It would be interesting to hear if anyone has ever flown CX F when the bassinet was occupied.

Good point.. I’ve actually helped the next person booking in F on the flight, assuming they care about seats and know whats what. They have no risk booking 2A really since 1A is taken. And 2K, the other probably best seat after 2A & 1A is also a Bassinet seat. I’m content with 1A, still seems ultra private. And I have to think the CX crews will not be as obnoxious as AA, talking super loud and making a ton of noise, thus making Row 2 on AA 77W even more important.

I’ve always sat in 1A on CX in F and only once were the crew talking loudly enough behind the curtain to wake me up. Most of the time they go to the galley (which is quite a distance from 1A) to talk quietly.
