I am Titanium on Marriott with the Ritz Card but plan to go to a couple of Belmond Hotels next May and the Ritz Card will not give me many benefits.

Thinking of signing up for the Citi Prestige for:
1. Bonus – 50k
2. 4th Night Free twice at more expensive Belmond Hotels
3. 5x on air travel and restaurants;
4. 3x at hotels and cruise lines

I would book 4 nights at Belmond Cap Juluca in Anguilla getting the 4th night free (est $800) and Belmond La Samanna in St Martin getting the 4th night free (est $800). You fly into St Martin to visit each so changing hotels is not a big deal. Otherwise I would just do a 7 night at Cap Juluca.

My Assumption is I can book these hotels thru the Citi Thank You Travel Center? How do I confirm when I do not have access?

If I signed up just for that trip I would get:
50,000 bonus
15,000 on stay
7,500 on flights
10,000 on restaurants

82,500 estimate for the trip + the $1600 savings from 4th night free

Thoughts before I do it??

@heydude, both of those properties show up on the thankyou website as being fourth night eligible for a random four night stay next May.

I signed up for the Citi Prestige. Went to the ThankYou Website but neither hotel showed up in May. I called the Citi Concierge as the website showed there are other hotels not coming up but was told they can only see results via the website. Basically same results as I see.

Any thoughts? You cant get the 4th night free unless you book thru Citi Thank you.

What dates are you searching for?

May 9-13 Cap Juluca,
May 13-17 La Samanna
Could go a week earlier. I searched dates in 5 different months and Cap Juluca would not come up. Didn’t bother searching La Samanna since it was my second choice.

Looks like La Samanna is still showing, can’t see Juluca. Might be worth trying to call the concierge to see if they can make a manual booking (might need to force this with a rep).

Not sure what near SFG means?
Anguilla is AXA
Sint Maarten is SXM

So when doing my search I have been using both of them. AXA pulls up 8 hotels and SXM pulls up 15. Odd part is this far out I know there is availability at both hotels. La Samanna is the top Hotel on Sint Maarten. Cap Juluca is a top hotel along with Four Seasons and Malliouhana.

I found La Samanna using Grand Case Airport. Thank You.
Prices varied each time I did a search. I finally booked at $1558, La Samana’s website was $2537. Not sure how I saved so much. Called Concierge and they booked Cap Juluca. 4th night savings was $675. Glad I got the card and booked right away because the use of the Concierge is going away and these two bookings are not included in the new cap of 2 4th nights free per year.
