Citi Prestige 4th night free question
Hi,
I found a hotel property that offers a 4th night free promotion. I thought I read a post where Lucky was able to obtain a 4th night free via a hotel promotion and take advantage of the Citi Prestige 4th night free perk, resulting in two free nights technically.
I called Citi Prestige and they explained that since the hotel rate for the 4th night was zero that Citi could not process any type of 4th night free via the Citi Prestige 4th night free perk.
Was the agent wrong? The agent claimed they checked with their supervisor. Just curious if anyone has been successful at booking a hotel promotion that includes 4th night free combined with Citi Prestige 4th night free where technically you get two free nights.
I assume I would have to spend 5 nights, where I would get the 4th night free with the hotel promotion and the last night free with the Citi Prestige perk. I could be wrong about all of this so that is why I am asking for clarity!
Thanks!
Currently the Citi 4th night free is a refund specifically for the 4th night rate. Therefore, you cant stack the Citi 4th night free with any other 4th night free promos. If there was a 3rd night free, then it’d be stackable with the citi 4th night free.
Mid next year, this benefit is changing where the refund is calculate as teh average rate of a 4 night stay where I presume it can be stacked with 4th night free hotel deals. However, you’d get less money back because the Citi benefit would be calculated after the 4th night promo, then averaged out over 4 nights.
