    Hello experts!
I am very confused-sadly not a new state of being! I have had the chase preferred for many years, and finally in May I will fall under 5/24. I would like to apply for the chase reserve and get the bonus points, and keep my chase preferred (at least for now) is that possible? Or do I have to cancel my chase preferred and then apply for a chase reserve?
    thank you for your help.

You can downgrade your Chase Sapphire Preferred to a Chase Freedom or Freedom Unlimited, then apply for the Reserve.
