Changes in priority services Flying Blue Silver
Hello Lucky,
As I’m new to this forum, I hope this is the right way to ask/discuss the following.
A literal ‘Ask Lucky’ about my New Year’s ‘present’ from Flying Blue.
Flying Blue is limiting Sky Priority services for Silver members (https://www.flyingblue.com/news/2327/changes-in-priority-services-for-silver-members.html). Basically because there are too many Sky Priority passengers. I completely understand this; I fly quite often ‘business routes’ on ‘business hours’ (e.g. AMS-LHR) and noticed that half the passengers seems to have status silver or higher. And the rare occassion that I have checked bagage, the first 50-100 items on the belt have a priority label (at AMS). Sky Priority has become priority waiting…
Personally I’ll push to be promoted to gold by the end of 2016. But what do you make of this? Is this an industry wide trend? Or specific for SkyTeam?
Thanks,
Hein

Welcome.
While there is a general downward trend in the industry this seems more to do with a genral devaluation/change coming to Flyingblue
Gary wrote an article about it.
