Cathay Pacific & Singapore Air Help!

Cathay Pacific & Singapore Air Help!

1. Sean93 New Member

Just booked EWR-HKG in business using AA miles
then doing other small travels ending in singapore.
Booked SIN-HKG suites using city thank you points
and HKG-JFK using AA miles.

Traveling Solo so prefer a window

My question is

What is the best seat for 777-300ER four class set up in Business class for my two flights?
What Lounges are available (if any) in EWR?
What lounge can I use in HKG pre departure to JFK

Then
Best suite for SIN-HKG on an A380 Four class v.1
What is the check in procedure at SIN (separate entrance? what lounge do i get? do I get transported to plane via car?)
Even though I’m flying at 840 am should i still book the cook for a ribeye?

Any other tips would be amazing to make my first big points redemption a special one

Welcome @Sean93 –

From the wiki at the front of this Flyer Talk thread it seems they recommend the mini-cabin, rows 11-12 for the 777-300ER.

Per the Cathay website you can use the BA lounge in EWR and in JFK.

For the SQ A380, the FT thread seems to point to row three as preferable.

Perhaps others can answer your remaining questions though I’m not aware that SQ escorts people to the plane in a car though I could be wrong about that.

I would definitely BTC for the Lobster Thermidor, regardless of time of day, so I don’t think they’d think you were weird for ordering a ribeye. 🙂

The SQ first class check-in is on the left just before you get to the terminal. It’s well-signed, so just tell your driver.

You’ll have access to the Private Room (at the top of the escalators after you clear passport control), but otherwise SQ ground services sorta suck. No escorts to the plane, or even premium security at your gate. Have fun!
