Cathay Pacific on Expert Fler

Cathay Pacific on Expert Fler

    Hello and happy Monday!
I signed up for Expert Flyers premium membership, but noted belatedly that CX is not listed in their award availability list. So I guess we can’t use this service for CX availability, or is there a work around? It looks like flight alerts work with CX-is this reliable? Thanks for any help.

The flight alerts are indeed reliable. I’ve not used them for CX but have for other airlines and they worked just fine.

Thank you MidSouth Skier and Tiffany. I have read that article and I have used the suggested sites successfully to find and via aa to book business class tickets on CX, and one first class ticket. I’m searching several times a day for availability for a 2nd CX first class (then cancel my 2 bus tickets-or cancel my one first class if a 2nd never becomes available) knowing if it happens it will likely be that last week prior to my trip. But it’s a pain, so I would like Expert Flyer to do it. My concern is that it’s not on the drop down menu for airlines so I wonder if it will adequately search for award availability?

For simple CX award searches where I just want to see what’s currently available on a specific day I use ba.com and/or Qantas. If I need availability alerts I use Award Nexus. I don’t need them often enough to pay for one of the premium memberships so I just purchase a trip pass or an enhanced trip pass depending on how many seats I need.

    Correct, it doesn’t.
