Cathay Pacific HKG-DPS 747s on Saturdays?

Cathay Pacific HKG-DPS 747s on Saturdays?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky,

We have travel from Hong Kong to Bali coming up on Saturday, June 18th. The plane on that day is scheduled to be one of the 2-class 777-300s that Cathay flies typically on this route now. However, it looks like Cathay uses the old 747s to fly this route on Saturdays up until April of 2016, then uses 777-300s all the way through October 2016, then switches back to 747s on the Saturday DPS-HKG flights from November 2016 and on. Any idea why this is? I know that they are due to retire the 747s, yet they seem to have them scheduled into 2017 to fly this route. Do you know if the 747s are being used seasonally on another route and that might be why they aren’t used from April through October from HKG to DPS? Thanks!
